WHAT'S IN GINSENG
The constituents vary depending on the species and the age of the plant, but ginseng contains the following nutrients:
- At least 13 different saponins, collectively known as ginsenosides
- starch, glycosides, sterols, volatile oil (panacene)
- polysaccharides, minerals, various Flavonoids, vitamin D
- vitamin B's(thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, pantothenic acid, and cobalamin)
- biotin, choline, pectin, phytoestrogens
- simple sugars (glucose, fructose, sucrose, maltose, trisaccharides, etc..)
